Here is a rather marvellous thing: bowls made from dyed natural sisal fibres woven by hand over a core of forest grasses. The whole affair starts in the middle, with skilled weavers threading the sisal around and around to create something genuinely rather good to look at. That creamy white you see is simply the natural colour of the sisal fibres when extracted from the plant, which we think rather suits them.
