Proper borosilicate glass construction: Tough enough for daily use, beautifully transparent so you can watch the transformation happen. And yes, microwave safe too, which is rather marvellous for convenience.
Two heating methods: Microwave the glass directly (just pop out the plunger first), or heat milk on the stovetop and pour it in. Whatever suits your morning rhythm.
Non slip silicone base: Keeps things steady while you're doing the rather important work of pumping foam into existence. No embarrassing slips, no crying over spilled milk.
