I personally inspect it in my studio for colour accuracy and quality against my original work, squinting at it like a somewhat bewildered art critic.
By tradition, this unique piece is called an Artist Proof. It is, quite literally, my final seal of approval. For each painting, only one of these will ever exist, making it a truly fabulous collector's item for anyone who wants the most exclusive version available. Once it is sold, that is genuinely it.
