Look, we won't pretend to be tea scientists, but this particular Lapsang Souchong is rather fabulous. It's a smoked black tea with a distinctive, gloriously bold character that's somehow both powerful and perfectly balanced. The sort of thing that makes you feel cleverer just for drinking it.
Why Choose Our Lapsang Souchong Butterfly
Authentically Smoked: This is the real thing, grown in the misty heights of the Wuyi Mountains in Fujian province where thick pine forests and high altitude combine to create something properly special. When this tea first arrived in Europe, it became famous almost immediately. Hardly surprising.
Distinctive Tarry Depth: A delightfully robust flavour profile that's become quite sought after among tea enthusiasts. The name itself means sub variety, and yes, we realise that sounds rather humble for something this marvellous.
Nature Reserve Quality: The very best Lapsang comes from the protected nature preserve in the Wuyi Mountains. We've gone to the effort of sourcing precisely that.
Thoughtfully Packaged: We've stripped away the unnecessary coloured labels and oversized packaging. Simply peel off the small name label from the back to make the entire packet biodegradable. Rather sensible, we think.
