Material: Brass, an alloy of copper and zinc that develops a rather distinguished patina over time. Some people find this aesthetically splendid. Others prefer to keep them polished. Both are perfectly acceptable.
About Brass and Care: Brass does tarnish when exposed to air and moisture, which is entirely normal and rather natural. This protective layer, called patina, is part of its charm. However, because of the copper content, tarnished brass can occasionally leave a faint green mark on your skin. To prevent this, we suggest keeping your hoops dry and polished. They're perfectly safe in water, but do dry them straightaway afterwards.
Cleaning at Home: Polish your hoops gently using white paste toothpaste or ketchup, rubbing for 30 to 60 seconds, then clean with an old toothbrush. Rather effective, and you've probably got both in the house already.
