Berrichi was founded in Estonia by Berit — the name is a combination of her nickname and the word "chi", meaning life energy, which is a fair summary of what the brand is trying to do. Launched in 2017 after two years of research conducted with scientists at Tallinn University, Berrichi is built around two specific algae-derived ingredients with scientifically proven effects: astaxanthin, the most potent natural anti-aging antioxidant known, and furcellaran, a detoxifying algae compound that moisturises and restores the upper layers of skin. Combined with five natural super oils, these form the foundation of every cream in the range. The formula has since earned Ecocert Cosmos certification, validation from the Estonian Allergy Federation as safe for allergy sufferers, and dermatological testing by Complife Italia.

The range covers the full routine — day creams, eye cream, body cream, cleansing foam, toner with natural AHA acids, makeup-removing oil cleanser, and a powder scrub using jojoba pearls and bamboo flour. Nothing contains added fragrance, parabens, sulfates, or phthalates; the faint scent in the products comes entirely from the organic ingredients themselves. The distinctive orange colour running through the packaging reflects the astaxanthin itself. Berrichi became one of Estonia's top natural cosmetics brands after launch, and the science behind it has held up to scrutiny at every stage.
