Build Your Own Rather Splendid Railway Wagon
Here's the thing about model railways: they're wonderfully absorbing, mildly fiddly, and absolutely worth the bother. This 12 Ton Box Van kit is rather good fun if you enjoy the meditative art of assembly, a touch of careful painting, and the quiet satisfaction of watching your creation take shape on the layout.
We've designed this with all the fussy bits you'd actually want: kinematic coupling mechanisms, proper braking detail, and those marvellous sliding doors on both sides. It's the sort of kit that rewards patience and a steady hand.

Product Details
Scale and Gauge: Available in OO or HO scale, compatible with standard UK rolling stock specifications.
What's Included: Resin printed components, kinematic coupling mechanisms, springs, and M1.4 x 3mm screws for assembly. Coupling mechanisms feature NEM pockets.
What You'll Need to Source: Two appropriately gauged axles (Hornby R8100 or equivalent 13mm wheels for OO; any NEM RP25 11mm wheels for HO), two NEM pocket compatible couplings, and two 1.5mm diameter extension springs made from 0.2mm wire.
Finishing: Supplied as unpainted resin, ready for acrylic or enamel paints. You may wish to sand or fill before painting, depending on your standards (we rather admire perfectionists).
Assembly: Do read through the instructions first and perform a dry assembly before committing to glue. We've built in sensible clearances, but you'll want to know what you're doing.
Dispatch: Bespoke orders take up to 7 working days and are sent via Royal Mail across the UK and internationally.
