A Rather Splendid Heritage Railway Wagon for the Discerning Collector
Right then. If you've ever fancied building a properly handsome scale model wagon from a bygone era, well, here's your moment. This is an unpainted, unassembled kit based on a genuine heritage design, complete with all those lovely period details that make railway enthusiasts go slightly misty-eyed.
Why Choose Our 12 Ton Box Van Kit
Authentic GWR Heritage Design: Fitted brakes, lever mechanisms acting on all wheels, horizontal boarding on all sides with side bracing, and double opening doors. It's the sort of thing that actually existed, which is rather reassuring.
Two Scale Options: Available in both TT120 and 3mm gauge to suit your layout. Choose whichever suits your particular vision of miniature railway authenticity.
Kinematic Coupling Mechanisms: The TT120 version includes sophisticated coupling systems and NEM pockets for seamless compatibility with your existing collection. Rather clever engineering, all told.
Generous Clearances for Assembly: We've left sensible gaps throughout to make assembly less of a headache than it might otherwise be.

3mm Version Includes: Standard assembly. Requires compatible 3mm gauge wheels and bearings.
Compatible Wheel Sets: TT120 uses 8mm diameter wheels. 3mm gauge works with standard Society wheels and bearings.
Historical Periods: Depicts authentic British railway operation across Eras 4 through 6, with continued service in preservation settings through Eras 7 to 11.
Building Timeline: Orders typically dispatch within 7 working days via standard post to UK and international addresses.
Before You Begin: Do read through the instructions carefully and perform a dry assembly before committing anything to glue. Detail may vary slightly depending on scale chosen.
This kit is genuinely rather good fun for adult collectors aged 14 and above. Contains small parts. Not suitable for younger children.

We Have Lots More Like This.........
Hello, we are Sostter....
Sostter began, as all good ideas do, with a lively conversation and a shared sense of frustration. Why had the world of independent design become so serious, so samey, so… beige? Where was the spark, the imagination, the sheer joy of discovering something that made you stop and stare?
We dreamt of a marketplace that celebrated difference — where curious minds could explore a world of independent brands, design-led makers, and thoughtful artisans. A space that felt exciting, human, and beautifully imperfect.
Today, Sostter brings together remarkable people and their creations — from London to Lausanne, Brooklyn to Berlin — uniting makers and discoverers through craftsmanship, creativity, and conscience. Every object tells a story, and every purchase supports an independent brand doing things differently.
This is just the beginning. But enough about us — step inside, explore our world, and see what catches your imagination.
Giving Back
We’re proud to support Sutton Night Watch, a grassroots UK charity making a real difference in the lives of those facing homelessness. Through regular donations of stock, supplies, and essentials, we back their mission to offer warmth, dignity, and practical help to anyone in need — right where it matters most.
