About Brass and Patina: Brass is a copper and zinc alloy that naturally develops a patina over time when exposed to air and moisture. Many people find this aged character rather gorgeous. However, the copper content can occasionally leave a faint green mark on skin. To prevent this, we suggest keeping your earrings dry and polished when not being worn. They're perfectly safe to wear in water, though do dry them promptly afterwards.
Keeping Them Gleaming: Polish your earrings at home using white toothpaste or ketchup (yes, really). Gently rub for 30 to 60 seconds and follow with a soft toothbrush. It's rather satisfying, actually.
