Batanaful was founded in 2019 by former professional footballer Kieran Agard, born from a deep passion for authentic ingredients and a determination to share something genuinely extraordinary. The centrepiece is Batana oil — a rare, nutrient-rich oil hand-harvested from the American palm tree in the tropical rainforests of La Moskitia, Honduras, and used for centuries by the Indigenous Miskito people, known as the Tawira: the people of beautiful hair. They call it their miracle oil. Having witnessed the traditional extraction process firsthand, Kieran made it Batanaful's mission to bring it to the world while protecting its cultural roots and ensuring fair trade for the Honduran communities who produce it.
