Canary Lava was founded by Līga — a Latvian maker who moved to the Canary Islands, fell for the landscape, and started making jewellery from it. The volcanic lava stone that forms the islands is the brand's defining material: raw, textured, genuinely from somewhere, and unlike anything that comes out of a factory mould. Bracelets, necklaces and earrings are handcrafted in small batches using natural lava stone beads strung on black kevlar thread, paired with recycled leather and 925 sterling silver hooks — the only non-recycled component, chosen because it earns its place. Līga now continues the work from Latvia, but the stones still come from the Canary Islands, and the provenance still matters.

Lava stone is porous, which means it holds essential oils — wear a drop on the bracelet and the scent travels with you through the day. The jewellery is designed for everyone: women, men, children and families, in a minimalist style that sits quietly alongside whatever else you are wearing. These are pieces with a specific origin and a clear point of view, made by someone who prefers the word gift to the word product, and whose work carries that distinction plainly.
