Leather and Textile Bags from a Võru Studio.

Eleriinseim is the studio practice of Estonian designer Eleriin Seim, based in Võru in southern Estonia, working across two complementary disciplines: leather design (bags, wallets, small leather goods, accessories) and textile design (voluminous tote bags made from recycled and upcycled fabrics). The studio operates from Liiva 11a in Võru, on the ateljee floor of the ATE creative complex, and is open to visitors by appointment — which is the small but real piece of operational openness that distinguishes a properly hands-on maker from a more remote brand. The editorial position is the slow-design one: minimalist forms, considered proportions, and the kind of finish that justifies the time investment rather than rushing to a price point. Specific bestsellers include the Tourist Bag — a leather crossbody designed for the dual use case of weekend travel and theatre evenings, with an adjustable strap and a precise interior layout — alongside a wider catalogue of handbags, totes, and leather accessories.

The textile-design half of the practice runs in parallel: large carry bags made from recycled textiles, including custom commissions for businesses wanting properly considered branded merchandise rather than the more usual mass-printed promotional totes. Eleriin also runs a small workshop programme from the Võru studio — leather-accessory making, acrylic pouring on canvas (a 30×30 cm guided session for around €40 per person), and bespoke private workshops for birthdays, baby celebrations, hen evenings, and small team events — turning the studio into something more like a community design space than a closed workshop. The proposition across the range is the substantively useful one: properly handmade bags and accessories from a working designer in a small Estonian town, available either as catalogue pieces, custom commissions, or as the result of an afternoon spent learning the craft yourself.
