Ewart Woods is a small Latvian interior-design brand founded in 2014 by Maksims Jekimovs, a woodworking enthusiast whose first products were CNC-milled USB flash drives and the wooden boxes they came in — a small but characteristic start for a brand built around the dual mastery of traditional joinery and modern computer-controlled fabrication. As the catalogue expanded into sofa arm trays and bathroom storage, Maksims partnered with metal-product designer Pēteris Ločmelis (a jeweller by trade, applying jewellery-grade precision to interior hardware), and the result is a brand whose signature is the considered intersection of wood and metal: warm timber paired with hand-finished steel brackets, hidden mountings, and the kind of small structural details that distinguish a properly designed shelf from a flat-pack alternative. The brand's working philosophy is the slightly more useful one: that mass-market homeware has under-served the segment of buyers who want pieces that genuinely last, look right in a finished interior, and reward the slightly higher price with proper longevity.
