Friendly Soap
Handmade Natural Soap from Yorkshire. No Plastic. No Nonsense.
Friendly Soap was founded in 2008 in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire by two friends with a shared passion for the environment and a frustration with the synthetic chemicals and plastic packaging that dominated personal care. Over fifteen years later, the brand has grown into one of the UK's most trusted names in natural soap — not because of the marketing, but because of the product. Every bar is handmade using traditional cold-process methods by a team paid above the living wage, using plant-based ingredients like olive oil, coconut oil, and shea butter with no synthetic fragrances, no parabens, no SLS, no palm oil, and no plastic packaging whatsoever.
The range covers soap bars, shampoo bars, conditioner bars, shaving soaps, facial cleansers, and natural household cleaning. All products are vegan and registered with the Vegan Society, certified cruelty-free by Cruelty-Free International, and hold an Ethical Consumer 'Best' rating. Every website order generates a 10p donation to international water charity Just A Drop and community woodland project ForUsTree. These are the soaps that deserve to be in every bathroom.
