Haoma
Skincare as Pure as the Ancient Plant It's Named After
When founder Enis Anteplioglu was prescribed a clinical antiperspirant for hyperhidrosis, he did something most of us don't: he read the ingredients. What he found sent him straight to his university kitchen. Starting with deodorant — formulated purely for himself using certified organic, unprocessed plant ingredients — he built what became Haoma. The name comes from ancient Persian mythology: the Haoma plant, brought to earth by divine birds, was said to bestow vitality, divinity and immortality. It also nods to the mythological bird of luck "Homa" — a painting of which hung in Enis's grandparents' living room, quietly waiting to inspire a skincare brand. You can find it at Sostter, alongside other small batch artisan makers we're proud to carry.
What makes Haoma genuinely different
Most organic skincare brands use preservatives and emulsifiers to extend shelf life and improve texture. Haoma doesn't — because Enis considers them a compromise. Every product is certified organic, certified vegan, plastic-free, and handmade in small batches in England. Ingredients are sourced directly from farms, supporting fairer supply chains and delivering higher-quality raw materials. There are no processed or plant-derived synthetics. No shortcuts. The result is a range that is, as the brand puts it, "pure and almost edible" — which is exactly as reassuring as it sounds. As seen in Vanity Fair and Tatler, and featured in the Soil Association's annual market report, Haoma has earned its reputation the old-fashioned way. A full range — and pointedly gender neutral
The Haoma range spans facial skincare (including the award-winning Purify and Rejuvenate Toner), organic single-note perfumes, aromatherapy mood rolls, the award-winning Recover massage oil, organic beard oil, a menopause-specific Comfort deodorant, the Night Mist pillow spray, and hair and hand care — all made to the same uncompromising standard. The brand is explicitly unisex: designed for anyone who cares about what they put on their skin, regardless of how they identify.
