Pitod
Genderless Fashion. Made to Order. Founded by Pedro Because the Industry Needed Fixing.
Pedro Trajano has spent his career in the fashion industry. He is also a gay man, and the combination of those two facts produced a specific and useful frustration: the industry was dividing itself into clusters — sustainable over here, non-binary over there, traditional everywhere else — and treating each as a separate market to be addressed separately. Pedro's view was simpler: these things should just be what fashion is. In 2021 he founded Pitod in London to demonstrate the point. The name is genderless. The clothing is genderless — designed from XXS to 5XL with a fit that prioritises comfort and neutrality over the silhouettes that conventional sizing assigns to men or women. And the sustainability credentials are not marketing language but a set of documented commitments that hold up to scrutiny.
Every garment is made to order, eliminating overproduction at source. The organic cotton is 100% GOTS-certified, grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers, and printed with OEKO-TEX certified Kornit water-based inks. Hoodies and sweatshirts incorporate GRS-certified recycled polyester. Production is through Stanley/Stella in Bangladesh — one of the most rigorously audited fair trade garment manufacturers in the world, independently verified by the Fair Wear Foundation. Pitod is a Certified B Corporation, a Living Wage Employer, and a member of 1% for the Planet. Ten percent of sales goes to the Rainforest Foundation UK. All worldwide shipping is free and carbon neutral. A tree is planted with every order. Packaging switched to fully recyclable materials in 2024. The annual impact report is published publicly, documenting progress and challenges honestly — which is more than most brands manage, and considerably more than the fashion industry's average standard of disclosure. T-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, joggers, polo shirts and t-shirt dresses. Clothing for everyone. Made for no one in particular, which is rather the point.
