Material: Rustic brass with spiral wire detail. Brass is copper and zinc working together like a rather good relationship.
Finish: Hammered and naturally patinated for that properly handsome aged look.
About Your Brass Earrings: Brass will tarnish slightly when exposed to air and moisture, developing a protective patina. Some people find this rather beautiful. Others prefer to keep theirs polished and bright, which is entirely valid. Fair warning though: tarnished brass can occasionally leave a faint green mark on skin due to copper content, but a quick polish sorts that right out.
Care and Cleaning: Keep them dry when you can. If you do wear them in water, dry them afterward. For a home polish, use whitening toothpaste or ketchup (yes, really), gently rub for 30 to 60 seconds, then use an old toothbrush to finish. They'll look splendid again.
A Word on Durability: These earrings appreciate being treated with the faintest bit of care. Store them somewhere dry, don't sleep in them, and they'll be marvellous for years.
