Size Upon Arrival: 50 to 60cm in height, delivered in a decorative basket with 12cm diameter. It arrives ready to impress, no assembly required.
Light: Place in a bright spot, but keep it away from direct sunlight. Yellow leaves mean it's getting too much sun. Dark green leaves suggest it's feeling a bit neglected on the light front.
Temperature: Happiest between 20 to 22 degrees Celsius during the day. Minimum night temperature of 16 degrees. Nothing too demanding.
Watering: Don't pour water into the heart of the plant like some sort of amateur. Water the soil instead, or better yet, submerge the entire pot in a bucket for a minute. Then leave it alone for seven days. Use orchid potting soil if you can.
The Rather Good News: Once you understand these simple preferences, your moth orchid becomes the sort of houseplant that makes you look rather competent. Which, between you and me, is worth its weight in gold.
