A Rather Splendid Scarf That Does Rather a Lot
Right then. Imagine a scarf that cannot quite decide which side of the bed it woke up on, so it decided to be brilliant on both. One side features hand spun and hand woven pure wool adorned with traditional Suf Embroidery and mirror work that catches the light like a rather posh disco ball. The other side showcases hand block printed silk in that glorious Ajrakh technique. Handmade tassels finish things off with a flourish. Utterly fetching, if we are honest.
Why Choose Our Scarf
Ancient Craft Meets Modern Practicality The Ajrakh technique dates back to 2500 BC and remains one of the world's oldest hand block printing methods. Jewel like patterns inspired by nature, stars and flowers mean you are wearing actual history here.
Mirror Work That Actually Sparkles Suf Embroidery is worked entirely from the back of the fabric with intricate symmetrical patterns created without any sketching. Mirrors are then fixed using the herringbone stitch, creating a sparkling effect that genuinely catches eyes rather than imaginary ones.
Locally Sourced, Naturally Dyed The wool comes from local sources and natural colours are used throughout. This is not just a nice idea, it is how artisans have worked for generations in the Kutch District of Gujarat.
