A Word on Safe Burning
Candles are rather marvellous for creating atmosphere, but they do require a modicum of common sense. Place yours away from curtains and flammable items, keep it out of reach of children and pets, and do trim the wick to quarter inch before lighting. Extinguish when you leave the room or retire for the evening. Never move a lit candle about, never use water to extinguish it, and do keep multiple candles at a sensible distance from one another. For outdoor use, shelter it from the wind. Following these simple guidelines means you get all the beauty with none of the bother.
