Right, so here's the rather marvellous bit. Before I approve any of my paintings for a new print run, I work closely with my printers to create a single, perfect test print. This is the first one made, the one I personally inspect in my studio for colour accuracy and quality against my original painting. Think of it as the golden ticket, except it actually looks rather good on a wall.

By tradition, this unique piece is called the Artist's Proof. It's my final seal of approval, and for each of my paintings, only one of these will ever exist. Once it's sold, that's rather it. No reprints, no second chances, no backing out awkwardly at a dinner party because someone else has the same one.
