Right, so here's the thing about this rather marvellous little kit: it's a medium-sized Retort House that actually looks like it knows what it's doing. Based on the rather splendid Retort House at Belper Gas Works, it comes complete with an industrial building featuring genuinely detailed interior work, including a rather fabulous representation of the retorts themselves. Quite the showstopper for any UK era 2 through 9 layout, if we're being honest.

Beautifully Crafted Industrial Detail: This isn't your average box of plastic. The model features intricate interior components that actually reward a bit of careful attention during assembly, rather like a moderately complicated IKEA project but considerably more rewarding.
Thoughtfully Designed for Assembly: We've rather sensibly included clearances where possible to make the whole business less of a nightmare than it might otherwise be. Do read through the instructions and dry assemble first though, because we're not complete mugs.
Ready for Your Personal Touch: Supplied unpainted in resin, this kit invites you to finish it exactly as you fancy. Works beautifully with acrylic or enamel paints, though you may need a spot of sanding and filling to get it properly gorgeous.
